Naturals in The City 10!

Hello lovelies!

I hope you’re good and your week is off to a great start. If it isn’t, don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to turn it around.

Naturals in The City 10 was on Saturday, and it was fun for me, as usual. ^_^

Many thanks to Uzo of Dont Touch The Hair for live tweeting throughout the meet-up. The hashtag was #NITC10, you can still search for it on Twitter. Shout out to Natural Nigerian & Sherese, of Carib Health- and our location, Social Place. Thanks to our vendors and all you beautifuls who made it (you are stars! ^.^ ) It was good to see you all. If you couldn’t come, we’ll see you in a few months? 🙂

The theme for this meet-up was “Making The Best of What You Have” and our lovely speakers Sandra of Naija Girl Next Door, Nkechi Ofoegbu, Dr. Patrick Ijewere of Carib Health and finally @Ms_Isioma had us covered, each of them taking a different approach. Sandra spoke about getting more out of less, with hair products. Nkechi, who is a licensed Formula Botanica tutor, talked about easy ways to care for one’s skin using readily available ingredients. Dr. Patrick talked about the healthy nutritional options we have naturally growing here in Nigeria, and this one in particular had me thinking. Finally, because nothing really matters if your head is in the wrong place, Isioma prrrreeeached to the choir, about loving your hair, loving your self, and accepting you totally. It was her birthday, so she got a surprise birthday song from all of us after her talk. (NN’s idea!)

I’m not exactly sure why, but I felt much much busier than usual at this meet-up, the time was just flying. I’m sorry guys, I did not get as many photos this time, so I may do a follow-up post this week, with some more pictures from other blogs, with their permission of course!

We recently started a blog shop HERE, where you can now shop our favourite things. It was a last minute decision to have a stand at the meet-up, very special thanks to everyone who stopped by! 🙂

Were you at Naturals in The City? Did you enjoy yourself? Why or why not? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

If you have a blog post about it, please leave your link in the comments and I’ll update this post with it.
