Le Revitalize Rendezvous 3!

event (1)

How time flies!

It hasn’t been a year since I was at the first Lumo Naturals Salon meet & greet, Le Revitalize Rendezvous, and the third edition of the event is here again. It’s close. Close close. Yep, like 2 weeks from now close. 🙂

Here’s what Lumo Naturals manager, Farida has to say:

We, at Lumo Naturals appreciate all the support you have shown us these past months since our reopening. So, to say thank you and also engage in a relaxing environment, we have decided to organize another meet and greet event with the theme;
 Why don’t you DIY?!
In recent time, there has been some argument as to whether natural hair is actually more affordable to manage or not. We think it is. Especially if you arm yourself with the right information. So, we’ll be sharing some DIY recipes and also some tips on how to maximize the products you already have in your hair-robe.
It is as usual, going to be a fun, relaxing event and we will have all your favorite vendors, cocktail hour, DIY recipes, hair talk, discount for club card holders and of course, FREEBIES!!!
Where?
At our salon; Suite G8, Mbouty plaza, Marcus Garvey street, off 5th avenue, behind Emirates Hotel, Gwarinpa.
Time?
11am-6pm
Date?
30th August, 2014
Discounted services will be:
1. Ayurvedic treatments
2. Mud/clay wash
3. ALL rinses
I personally look forward to meeting you and your gorgeous tresses. Come out, let’s inspire each other, pamper our hair and share information to grow this sisterhood.
Thank you,
Farida

Hair, Cocktails, Freebies, Sistas, more hair… quite a few of my favourite things in one afternoon! You Abuja ladies have fun! 😉

If you’re in Calabar, do not feel left out! Our own is coming! Natural Nigerian and yours truly are bringing you Natural in Paradise, Calabar’s first natural hair meet up on September 20! There’ll be more about this really soon (watch this space), but if you’ll be joining us (I hope you will!) kindly take a few minutes to indicate your interest by RSVP’ing on Eventbrite over here. 😀

Love,

AB,

xx

#HairofTheWeekend

Hey guys!

How are you? 🙂

I spent the weekend with my family and one of my best girls (hadn’t seen her in months!) My baby brother graduated, to the glory of God! I wish my break was longer *sob sob* lol, but I’m back at work, and with nothing to do today, I just thought I’d show you my hair did. I had one good hair day, and one bad not so good one.

On Saturday, my twist out was not the best, but I happily rocked it like that. *bbm not interested smiley*

Product Review: Nothing But Intense Healing Mask

nothing but

Hey guys!

AB here!! 🙂

After seeing quite a few reviews on the interwebs, I’d been itching to try products from the Sofn’ Free ‘Nothing But’ line. I stalked the website for weeks, so as part of my Christmas product haul, I decided to go with the deep conditioner, the Nothing But Intense Healing Mask.

First impressions:

2 thumbs up for presentation. I love the clear tub, I love the font and the colours on the labels.

I like the light citrus scent (I LOVE CITRUS) and the consistency of this product is just right. It’s like yogurt 🙂 Continue reading

Capital Naturals Hair Meet Up(1)

Hey y’all!

It’s almost that time of the year when beautiful ladies gather to bond over this thing that we love so much, yes you know it, *drum roll*, HAIR!!

Natural Nigerian, NatMane (Deepbrown & Kinks) and Bibi Naturals bring Capital Naturals to the Capital city (obvs)- Abuja, for the third time! Write it down in your diary, set reminders with your smartphones, you want to be at this meet-up on May 31.

When the official flyer with the full agenda is out, you’ll see it here too. But for now, if you’d like to sponsor this jolly meeting, or have a stand as a vendor, do any giveaways or advertising, email: nn@naturalnigerian.com

In fact, I think later this week, I should tell you guys why hair meet-ups rock!

Till then, you could see these old posts about past meet-ups: Naturals In The City 6 (Lagos, July 2013) and Capital Naturals 1 (Abuja, November 2012) here and here.

ALL hair types are welcome. 🙂
