I hope I’m not being dramatic for calling this little page on a blog a directory. It’s not a big fat yellow book but the idea is the same.
For many naturals, it’s a challenge finding products- tools, cleansers, conditioners, styling products and natural oils and butters- simply because they do not know where to look. Yes, we don’t have a natural hair aisle in every superstore in the country or in Lagos (yet), but there are a handful of options and I believe they should be general knowledge.
If a store is not present in your city, don’t be shy to contact them. They may still be able to accommodate your order.

I knoooow. Our salons are really clueless about to deal with hair as it grows out of the head- and I really haven’t been going to salons (except for protective styling) since I started my hair journey so there’s none I can recommend at present.

PJ, you can check Absolute, it’s a salon opposite the post office beside UI. They don’t specialise in natural hair but they treat hair with care and use decent products. There’s also Classic ‘ s in Pre boy’s world adjacent UI. Btw, there’s a Casabella outlet at the mall in Dugbe and they stock really decent products.

wow, all these stores in nigeria. kudos. I should make a similar post on my site. Sad that Canada is so close to the U.S but it’s so hard to find natural hair products, especially if you live outside of a major city like Toronto. You can buy online from a U.S store, but shipping cost can be more than the cost of the product itself.

Hey Vivian, I’m pretty sure you can get kinky extensions in the market, or in your neighbourhood- anywhere extensions are found. “Marley hair” “Havana hair” and other such names are the same thing. Supreme Royal Silk goes for 1400-1700 a pack, and Noble costs half the price. You can also order online from sizzelle.com. I hope this helps!
